What this site stores about you

Nothing. There is no account, no sign in, no cookie, and nothing in your browser's local or session storage. The pages run no scripts and load nothing from anywhere else.

What happens when you visit

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles your network address and the address of the page you asked for in order to deliver it, and keeps request logs for security and for running the service. Nothing is stored against your name and no profile is built.

The domain you type into the check

It is used to look up public information about that domain, described on the about page, and it is put into the address of the result page so that you can send the link to whoever looks after your website.

Because it is in the address, it appears in Cloudflare's request logs alongside your network address, like any other page request. No record of what you checked is kept anywhere else, and results are sent with instructions not to store them.

To stop the check being used to hammer other people's services, the number of checks from one network address is counted for one minute and then deleted.

If you type an email address, only the part after the @ is used.

Text you paste into the tools

A bounce message usually contains email addresses, names and part of the message that bounced. What you paste into the bounce explainer or the SPF merger is sent in the body of the request, which request logs don't record. It is read to produce the answer, put back into the page so you can edit it, and then discarded. It is never stored, and the page is sent with instructions not to keep a copy.

A domain you look up in the SPF merger is handled like one typed into the check, as described above.

If you write in

If you email info@dalaric.com, that message is correspondence between you and Dalaric Limited. It is read by a person, answered, and kept only as long as it is useful for dealing with what you asked.

You have the rights UK data protection law gives you, including the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. Since this site keeps no account and builds no profile, there is very little here to exercise them against, which is the intention.

If what this site does with data changes, this page changes with it first.
